Illinois State Championship at Peoria Speedway Postponed for Saturday, September 20
FAIRBURY, IL (September 20, 2025) – With showers beginning to fall in the Peoria, Illinois area during the lunch hour, and a near 100% chance of showers projected over the course of the next few hours, tonight’s 70th annual Illinois State Championship presented by Accurate Heating & Cooling has been postponed until Saturday, September 27, 2025.
With the MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment scheduled for action on Thursday-Saturday, September 25-27, at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, the Illinois State Championship at Peoria Speedway next weekend will not be a MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends sanctioned event. We look forward to returning to Peoria Speedway in 2026.
Next up for the MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends is Championship Weekend at Fairbury Speedway on Friday and Saturday, October 3rd and 4th, for the FALS Frenzy. MARS Late Models will run a complete show each night with $5,000-to-win on Friday, and the $12,000-to-win season finale being held on Saturday.
