Illinois State Championship Weekend Shifts a Week Back
LaSalle, IL (August 5, 2021) – The Mars Racing Series officials and the staff of the Peoria Speedway have decided in the best interest for the race fan and racing teams to move the Illinois State Championship weekend on Friday August 13th and Saturday August 14th. The event will now be rescheduled for the following weekend of Friday August 20th and Saturday August 21st. The event will still pay $3,000 to win on Friday night and $5,000 on Saturday for the Illinois State Championship. The next event for the Mars Racing Series will be Sunday August 15th with a $5,000 to win race at Circle City Raceway. This will be the first ever visit for the series to the new venue on the south side of Indianapolis at the Marion County Fairgrounds. The Mars Racing Series is also excited to announce the birth of the series mascot coming to a track near you! Our Mars the Martian will be making its debut at Circle City next Sunday to interact with the kids, fans and join in on the victory lane celebration with our winner.
