Details Announced for 21st annual Summit Racing Equipment Modified Mania at Tri-City Speedway for the MARS Modified Championship Tour
FAIRBURY, IL (August 27, 2025) – For the first time in series history, the MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment will sanction the 21st annual Summit Racing Equipment Modified Mania event at Granite City, Illinois’ Tri-City Speedway on Thursday – Saturday, September 25 – 27. Track and series officials are excited to announce that Thursday and Friday will be complete shows for the MARS Modifieds paying $2,000-to-win / $250-to-start on Thursday, and $3,000-to-win / $250-to-start on Friday. Points compiled from those two nights will line up Qualifiers for Saturday night’s $5,000-to-win finale.
Originally scheduled to race alongside the World of Outlaw Late Models for the first time ever as a part of Modified Mania, plans have since changed due to a challenging 2025 season. “A year ago when we had a vision and an agreement to host this combined event, we never anticipated to have the season that we’ve had with 12 rainouts, including several of our marquee shows” stated track owners Kevin and Tammy Gundaker. “It is a very tough, but necessary, business decision that Tri-City Speedway had to make to remove the World of Outlaws Late Model portion of the event.”
The 21st annual Summit Racing Equipment Modified Mania will revert back to its original format including the MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment, DIRTcar Late Models, B-Mods, and Crown Vics throughout the weekend.
