FK Rod Ends Continues Partnership as Title Sponsor for the MARS Late Model Championship Tour in 2025
FAIRBURY, IL (December 3, 2024) – As the 2025 season is beginning to take shape, MARS Late Model Championship officials are pleased to announce that FK Rod Ends will be continuing as title sponsor of the tour for the third consecutive year.
In addition to FK Rod Ends continuing as the title sponsor, they will continue to be a contingency sponsor contributing to each feature event in 2025.
“Being able to continue our partnership with FK really helps set the foundation for what’s to come with the tour” stated MARS Series owner Matt Curl. “Maria (Melillo) has been a huge part to our series the past couple of seasons, while also remaining active in motorsports across the country, helping racers from the local level all the way to the highest levels of our sport. We look forward to continuing to raise awareness for the brand as the tour is set for a monumental 2025 season.”
The 2025 MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends season is set to kick off with a first time visit to the Maquoketa Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa on Friday, and Saturday March 28 and 29 with the 2nd annual Nippy 50. The Rio Grande Waste Services Nippy 50 Presented by D&E Outside Services weekend boasts a MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends total purse of over $120,000. On Friday, March 28, the MARS Late Models will compete for $7,500-to-win and $1,000-to-start, while a live band will headline post-race activities. On Saturday, March 29, the evening will feature a $15,000-to-win main event with a whopping $2,000 just to take the green flag.
The first two seasons of the MARS Late Model tour under the ownership of Matt Curl has featured 36 completed events at 17 different racetracks across the Midwest. Jason Feger has taken home the series title during both seasons with Ryan Unzicker finishing second in series standings each year. The tour has averaged over 30 cars per event each season.
