Remnants of Hurricane Francine Cancels USA World 50 at Paducah International Raceway
FAIRBURY, IL (September 13, 2024) - Continuous rain and more predicted throughout the day on Saturday have led officials with the MARS Championship Tours and Paducah International Raceway to make the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s USA World 50 scheduled for Saturday, September 14. This event will not be rescheduled in 2024 due to limited time left in the calendar year, and other events in the area, but both tours look forward to returning to Paducah International Raceway in 2025. Online ticketing refunds will begin on Monday.
Attention now turns to championship weekend at Fairbury Speedway on October 4 & 5 for the MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends and the MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment with the FALS Frenzy Presented by Edelman Incorporated. On Friday night MARS Late Models will battle for $5,000 to win while the MARS Modifieds will fight for a $2,000 top prize. For the FALS Frenzy Presented by Edelman Incorporated Saturday night finale the MARS Late Models will race for the largest purse of the season with $12,000 to win and $1,000 to start while the MARS Modifieds will run for $3,000 to win in their championship finale.
