Inside Line Promotions – LONGDALE, Okla. (May 20, 2017) – Jesse Stovall swept the MARS DIRTcar Series portion of the 3rd annual Walleye Rodeo on Saturday evening at Longdale Speedway.

Jimmy Reeves, Robert Elliott, Angel Munoz and Tyler Scruggs were also victorious at the 3/8-mile dirt oval on a night when nearly 100 drivers competed during the first official Top Gun Series event. Friday night’s opener rained out.

Stovall was the driver to beat during the lone visit to the track this season for the MARS DIRTcar Series. He set quick time during qualifying before winning a heat race. Stovall then pulled the No. 2 to start the main event on the outside of the front row and he never looked back en route to the triumph.

MARS DIRTcar Series points leader Tony Jackson finished in the runner-up position with Randy Timms rounding out the podium. Austin Theiss advanced from ninth to fourth and Payton Looney placed fifth.

Jackson and Timms joined Stovall as heat race winners.

Reeves claimed the IMCA modifieds main event with Mike Petersilie finishing second. Tanner Black ended third, Clay Sellard was fourth and Troy Gemmill placed fifth.

McDonald, Cole Traugett and Gemmill each scored a heat race triumph.

Elliott garnered the IMCA sport mods feature win while Joe Adams advanced from eighth to second place and Mike Roach rallied from ninth to third. Jeffrey Kaup scored a fourth-place finish and Kaleb Roach settled for fifth.

Kaup and Mike Roach recorded heat race victories.

Munoz outlasted seventh-starting Jason Rogers to capture the IMCA stock cars main event. Kyle Pfeifer placed third, Travis Baird fourth and Hesston Shaw fifth.

Rogers and Munoz were the heat race winners.

Scruggs produced the victory in the pure stocks division with Marvin Allen maneuvering from ninth to second place. Steve Blunk ended third, Bill Beebe fourth and Donald Kaup fifth.

Kellen Downing and Blunk captured heat race wins.

Longdale Speedway’s next event is a special tractor pull show on June 3.
