MARS West plans 36 races and MARS East plans 25 races in 2017

The MARS DIRTcar Series West division has announced its 2017 schedule with 37 races in seven states mostly mirroring recent seasons when the tour was based in Missouri. Monett (Mo.) Speedway and Springfield (Mo.) Raceways are set to host a series-high four races a piece while the series is set to return to Salina (Okla.) New owners plan two MARS divisions

Missouri’s MARS DIRTcar Series has been sold to a new Tennessee-based promoting group that plans West and East divisions for the DIRTcar-sanctioned organization, series co-owner William Scogin told today. Scogin (pictured), the promoter of Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway and three partners with Volunteer Racing Promotions, recently completed purchase of MARS from Monett (Mo.) Manville To Legit

West Plains, MO – July 31, 2016 – Tim Manville of Highland, IL slid job his way to his first ever MARS win at Legit Speedway Saturday night and pocketed $3000 for his efforts. Phillips Takes Kuntz Memorial

Monett, MO – July 18, 2016 – Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO outlasted 23 other drivers and won the 10th annual John Kuntz Memorial Friday night at the Monett Speedway and picked up $3000 for his efforts.
