Heavy Rain Postpones MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment Event at Red Hill Raceway
FAIRBURY, IL (May 2, 2025) – With close to four inches of rainfall throughout the week at Red Hill Raceway, in Sumner, Illinois, and more expected throughout the afternoon and evening tomorrow, the MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment event scheduled for Saturday, May 3 has been postponed.
“With heavy rain falling all week, and more expected, we would rather get the word out now and save people the time and planning when it just won’t be possible to race,” said track owner Jeremy Sneed. “We look forward to hosting the MARS tours in the future and are excited for a huge season of racing here at Red Hill.”
Series and track officials are currently exploring makeup dates and those will be announced in the coming weeks when they are agreed upon.
Following tonight’s action at Kankakee County Speedway the MARS Modified Championship Powered by Summit Racing Equipment will next be in action at the new and improved Quincy Raceways in Quincy, Illinois on Friday, May 16 as they race alongside the MARS Late Model Championship Powered by FK Rod Ends.
