Republic, MO May 3, 2016 – The MARS DIRTcar Series will travel to Illinois this weekend for its first ever visit to Farmer City Raceway and Fairbury American Legion Speedway.
On Friday May 6th Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL will host the MARS series for the Douglas Dodge $5,000 to win race, co-sanctioned with the American Late Model Series (ALMS). In addition, the Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Street Stocks and Hornets will be racing. Hot laps at 6:30pm, Qualifying at 7pm and racing at 7:30pm. Adult general admission is $20, Kids 4-12 are $15. Fence parking is $20. Pit passes are $35. Tire rule is LM20 or LM40 on any corner, NO ribbed tires. Additional information can be found on the website www.farmercityracing.com.
Saturday May 7th the MARS series will move to Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL for the FALS Frenzy. Co-sanctioned with ALMS, this race will pay $10,000 to the winner. Also racing will be UMP Modifieds, UMP Sportsman and UMP Street Stocks. Hot laps begin at 5:50pm, qualifying set for 6:30pm with racing to follow. Pit gates open at 12pm. Adult grandstand admission is $25, pit passes are $40. Tire rule is LM20 or LM40 on any corner, NO ribbed tires. Additional information can be found at www.fairburyspeedway.com.
