Springfield, MO (October 1, 2011) – John Anderson of Omaha, NE won the 4th annual Home Pro Larry Phillips Memorial at Springfield Raceway and picked up $3,000 for his efforts. Pole sitter R.C. Whitwell of Tucson, AZ finished second. B Feature winner Jeremy Payne of Springfield, MO finished third and was the night’s hard charger. Al Purkey of Coffeyville, KS and Tony Jackson Jr. rounded out the top five.
MARS point leader Brad Looney of Republic, MO finished ninth and secured the 2011 MARS Point Championship. Finishing in second place and 2011 Rookie of the Year will be Jesse Stovall of Galena, MO. Whitwell, Jackson Jr. and 6-time MARS Champion Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO rounded out the top five.
