Brownstown Speedway Up Next for Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series on Saturday April 13th

SOMERSET, KY (April 7, 2019) – The Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series is set to return to action with the first of three visits in 2019 to the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Ind., located at the famed Jackson County Fairgrounds. The Spring 40 event will see the Super Late Model feature winner receiving $5,000 for their efforts.   

The MARS Racing Series will be in action at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Ind. on Saturday April 13th for the track’s Spring 40 event, which will see the MARS gang race for $5,000-to-win. In addition to the Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series Late Models, the Pro Late Models, Modifieds, Super Stocks and Pure Stocks will all be in action. The pit area and grandstands will open at 3:00 p.m., with driver registration taking place from 3:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m., with the driver’s meeting set for 5:30 p.m., with hot laps set for 6:00 p.m., followed by time trials and green flag racing. Ticket prices at Brownstown Speedway on Saturday April 13th in the grandstands will be $20 for adults, while a pit pass will be an additional $15 at the pit gate. 

The Super Late Model portion of the program will be sanctioned by the Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series. The entry fee will be $100, plus transponder rental for timing/scoring purposes. The Super Late Model tire rule will be as follows: Hoosier 1350 anywhere on the car and a LM40 right-rear option. Random tire samples will be taken by the series. Drivers not making the feature event will receive $50 tow money.

This will be the third points race of 2019. The Series was in action back on March 1 and 2 at Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway with Brian Shirley and David Seibers picking up feature event winners respectively.
